2011 brings a new year. Assuming Idea allow me to have 2 new people to work with me (Instead of the Czech's getting to Maintain OW) id like to know what the community would like us to implement or change.

All suggestions will be considered by the Team.

Nadchodzi nowy rok - 2011. Zakładając, że IDEA pozwoli, by 2 nowe osoby pracowały ze mną (zamiast oddać Czechom prace nad OW), chciałbym wiedzieć, co chcecie, by zostało wdrożone/zmienione.

Wszystkie propozycje zostaną rozpatrzone przez zespół.

- Chciałbym żeby została poprawiona opcja dodawania fal
- Poprawiony PRCIX
- Możliwość dodania własnych plików .p16 tak by działały
- Zmodyfikowany miotacz ognia (to oddzielna sprawa)
- Poprawione mapy z trybami RPG ( tu gdzie nie da się budować)

To tyle z mojej strony, o powyżej wymienione rzeczy najbardziej mi chodzi.

So here's mine:

• Give gatling gun and laser damage bonus with incrased technologies (But you know it from OWS)
• Remove sniper rifle experience bug*
• Remove engineer experience bug*
• Remove mechanic experience bug*
• Remove vanishing units bug while russian vehicle starts to teleport to base and it dies**

I'll give you more but give me time.

Now I can tell you what I can do for OW and community. Probably most of you know that I'm working on balance mod v2. It won't be ofcourse implemented to patch but we can play tournaments, games etc. via this mod. Also you will se 4 mission demo of my new mod. I have experience with making maps with good textures so I can work on new multiplayer map. It will be simmilar to Alien Base but it'll be smaller, for 4 players (2 vs 2, 4 FFA, etc.). But know highest priority have my mod because I want official launch it in this year. Soon you will see official subforum for Balance Mod v2. It'll have playable version. Well, now it's also playable but I want make tests in closed and smaller group to remove most of unbalanced things.

You can currently import/export .p16 files using GM Editor as well as modify the Palette. I don't know if its a 1.11 Beta feature or 1.10b feature.

Start Menu -> Programs -> Original War -> Mod Tools -> GM Editor

@Nitek: Your mod could be supplied with the OW Patches, just not integrated into the main game. I have had talks with Yuri about making it so that OW can use a mod for Clanbase games. No clue if he would be interested in using your mod as the base or not.

That's not good idea. With modification I can modify Balance Mod in any time. With patch we'll have to wait for hotfix or another patch version so It's bad idea.

I meant that it could be released with the Official Patches as well as a standalone thing. The concept was so that people would have some version of your mod by default and they could then update it to the latest version if they wanted. Rather than them having to actually find out your mod exists.

But that such thing needs some work. If you can do it and Radzio with Yuri approve this mod it would be great.

1. It would be a great idea to add a complex manual/guide to the game (perhaps McBenn's Comprehensive Guide?).
2. There should be a section at OWS with all the greatest mods in one place. Users should be able to submit their work and update the info themselves. I'm talking about something like this: http://wiki.owsupport.com/index.php?title=Mods - however, each mod's "minisite" should include the same basic information (in the same order!), such as "Title, Author, Current Version, Developed Version, Plot, Gallery, Official Website" etc. Also, the section should be linked at the homepage.

Interface. New, better and more expanded, because acutal looks like Windows 95.

I think there are thing with higher priority. But he can always change resolution in main menu to 1024x768 like in OW. Also UI for bigger resolutions (now we can use CustomRes but big part of UI is black because it doesn't scale with resolution) would be nice, because it's painfull for bigger and/or 16:10 and 16:9 monitors users.

Menu in window, not fullscreen. Menu has only 800x600 resolution. That's really sucks on big monitors. Or new menu in highest res. but this plan will be time-consuming.
This is in OW now (on key F6) but I can't move this window. It's annoying when the window is on the left, not on the centre.

As you can see Altar made replays. Is there any posibility to fix it (probably it doesn't work as it should be) and add to 1.11 patch? Also oportunity of sharing replays betwen players will be great and there'll be no need to get judges for tournaments or clan wars.

There is some old replay code, in a folder (Which isn't used at all by original war or the editor) but its not complete.

I did try integrating it into the editor a while back(May be years) and i if im remembering correctly i found that there was no code to re-play it. Not sure if it was saving correctly either.
