Iv heard that unofficial patches are being made by a Polish person. Anyone using an unofficial patch WILL NOT get any support from OWSupport. So if you have any problems using an unofficial patch then you will not get any official help.
OWSupport does not recommend using Unofficial patches. If the people making them have truely found ways to improve Original War then they could have easily got there changes implemented Officialy.

I'm worried that your files had been remaked by that 'patcher'. If i were you I'll search some law regulations and accuse him of the stealing.
The patch was propably made by that one who had stole #original-war channel on Quakenet. He's an underage child and i'm sure he had no idea what programming and patching is.
I'll do some steps to prevent using this shit by OW community.

It is the same person who "stole" the channel from OW.Net .
The only thing i know he has changed is that OW goes to another channel owned by him when you hit multiplayer. I don't see how he could make OW more stable without re-writing the multiplayer code. Which is something you can't rearly do by hex-editing an exe file(Due to how complex it would get).
There is nothing legal that could be done. Copyright is Altar's and they arn't going to get involved over something this "Small" (In there eyes).
