Original War Support Maintanence

For a while a group of Czech's have been trying to take over Original War's Maintenance. IDEA-Games is currently in the process of Deciding who will be maintaining Original War.

Tbh OW maintance was stopped long time ago. We wanted add Radzio to patch team but not changing whole "team" (until now it was only you). This decision might destroy whole community. I remember Guany from game. He wasn't good player so if he will be able to change gameplay he will probably destroy entire community. I hope Idea Games won't change patch developer or give permission to add Radzio and Czech team but under your command. Anyway most of czech/slovak players stopped playing OW in last year and rest of them play on Hamachi, not MS.

Będąc szczerym, rozwój OW został zaprzestany już jakiś czas temu. Chcieliśmy, aby Radzio dołączył do "zespołu" tworzącego patche (do teraz był tylko Stucuk). Ta decyzja może zniszczyć całą scenę. Pamiętam gracza Guany z gry. Nie był dobrym graczem, więc gdy będzie mógł zmienić rozgrywkę, najprawdopodobniej zniszczy cała scenę. Mam nadzieję, że Idea Games nie zmieni wydawcy patchy lub wyrazi zgodę, aby dodać Radzia i czeski zespół pod kontrolą Stucuka. It never stopped. Slowed down but never stopped. v1.11 has been in the works for a while(And accessible to anyone). FYI if Idea sides with me, there will be 2 extra people working with me who are members of this forum.

I only work with people that:
1. I can communicate with (So they need to be able to understand english)
2. That actualy know how to program. Im not going to waste my time teaching people the basics of programming
3. People that have shown dedication to the community.

The Czech team doesn't meet any of the requirements of working with me(Some of there members may meet the first condition but not the other two).

So it seems you don't want abandon OW and keep making patches? I hope then IDEA-Games will allow to join Radzio and the other one (Yuri?)

Thats currently what 1.11 has. It also has some misc fixes. Its more stable than 1.10b is. The latest version i have (Which hasn't been released to testers) uses a new Memory Manager that should be faster and also allows me to Track Memory Leaks. So i have recently been removing Possible Memory Leaks from Original War. I have also fixed a bug with the IRC Client which may have caused problems with the Game (I.E Causing it to crash).

The main problem i have always had is the lack of feedback from the community. Most people don't Beta Test, so it takes far longer to release a patch because i can't release something which hasn't been tested. You can actually have two versions of Original War installed on the same PC, allowing you to play with other people online using 1.10b as well as help beta test with 1.11 .

EDIT: Iv made it so people don't have to join the OBT Group before they can see the Open Beta Test Forum. Anyone with OWS Forum Membership can now see the forum. Also feel free to distribute the latest version to your friends(Always been against the OBT rules to distribute any beta version).
