How do you animate multiplayer character portraits to move their mouths and such? I'm trying to use XicthEd. But no success so far.

Not possible in multiplayer AFAIK. You can export face from XichtEd to make it as your multi-avatar, but animation itself will play only when your character will be talking ingame (will have some dialog).
