"Error in command line"

Post by Maniek »

Kumple mieli wyjechać do Anglii, ofc wzięli ze sobą OW no to im nagrałem patcha najnowszego(wtedy 1.07.2) Teraz maja wreszcie neta, no to by wypadało z nimi zagrać.

You will proberly have to run it in Administrator mode on Vista. I don't think you would need to use the compatibility settings. All the PC's in my house have XP, so i can't test Vista.

"Error in command line" is caused by incompatible changes made to the Vista. (installing incompatible app, working "too much" on registry etc.)

No dobra ale do sedna. Jeżeli ktoś ma taki problem to musi sobie ściągnąć Total Commandera i nim odpalić patcha(wtedy trzeba bodajże kliknąć Uruchom i rozpakuj) i działa! :D

What do you mean? The installer only looks for the installation directory. It hardly uses the registary. So i don't see how you can get a Vista error just by using the registary 1 time to get the directory, then say 3 more times to set registary keys. Original War uses the registary alot more than my installer and that works on Vista.

To play with the registary in Vista you need to run the app in Admin mode, apart from that there shouldn't be any problems with it accessing the registary.

What is the installer doing (or what did it last display on the screen) before you get the error? Does it even show a window? Etc.

Everything's ok now. "Error in command line" can appear with any app and its appearance is still unknown xD
