Look at original campaigns, in am 15 and rus 15 it's a similar situation. Just a small trick, to make missions harder & longer.

I just followed the general tendency in the original campaigns. I've also always thought it was a little odd you had to start almost from scratch each time but else your scientists wouldn't have anything to do :)

Naah, I'm always putting them in workshops, making them as engineers or sending as backup for soldiers - they're quite skilled :P

I found two problems. I attached screens.


In mission 14, this russian bazooker shouldn't be woman (cos in Polish translation our heroes tells to her like to man) and I think that there should be two friend russian bazookers.

The debug strings in Ar08 is my bad. Forgot to clean that up after testing.

If you have 4 or more bases you can see the base info (the bar with number of crates, oil barrels etc.) when InGameOn. I'm not sure what I can do about it...

Phh it's not trivial to ensure the speaker is a guy since it's the fellow you let go in Ar10. We can do a sex-check and play other dialogues based on that but I dunno if that would be more of a bother?
There is one bazooker for medium and easy difficulties, none for hard. I think two would upset the balance of the mission too much (you getting the "reinforcements" or not).

Change west and south bases color to orange.

It is funny that our heroes speak to Russian soldier (and it's woman) in male type.

She's speaking to a random soldier and so it can be confusing when you intend to make a satisfying translation for restless players as quickly as possible. And plus, I was translating it while my OW was broken, so I didn't had a chance to test all of the possibilities.
English phrases doesn't distinguish between sex of the addressee. When translating dozens of the lines, it's not hard to overlook such discrete thing

Btw. All issues, linked to Polish translations, can be reported here and I will handle them -certainly.

Fixed:
(changed the form into plural, so it would always be correct - I was wary of it in previous missions, so the situation here should be the only exception).

mysle ze to wystarczy,

dodam, ze skrzynie pod wjazdem sa zbugowane, gdyz przez nie, posilki dla amerykanow nie moga podjechac pod gorke, tzn troche ich juz tam usunalem zeby samemu sie dostac do gory :)

ogolnie dobrze zrobione, do kilku miejsc nie mozna na mapie sie dostac, mimo ze usuwa sie drzewa itd, laduja tam skrzynie i nic z nich nie mozna zrobic, jeli podac wiecej bugow, to prosze napisac

Imported txts. Hehe actually a little funny that Polish distinguish between sex but English (and my native language Danish for that matter) doesn't, if you have an interest in languages :)

It's a common manner in Slavic languages (at least I think so:)). A difference is quite discrete: words endings like -aś/-eś, -am/-em (etc).

Ok, translation of szarowiak's post:
I think this would be enough (video).

I might add, that crates under the hill's entrance are bugged, because they're blocking the american backup. I mean, I removed some of them in order to getting into the hill.

Generally, good work. You can get into some places, but crates are landing there and you can't do anything.

In the next mission, the hill's entrance is also taking an interesting part. You may hook a 'rocket vehicle' to attack you (or any enemy's vehicle), so it would follow you almost to the edge of the entrance. Then, you could damage it and it would be trying to escape into its base, but it won't because it will be blocked by other vehicles. After this operation you may step away from Russians because they won't bother you anymore.

araby nie maja do mnie dostapu, wozu transportu drugiego nie tworza, jedynie zostaje powoli wyniszczyc ruskich, ale to dopiero jak przyjda pozostale postaci, ktore beda musialy przyjsc dolem mapy do mojej bazy

To już było pośrednio zgłoszone w poprzednim poście. Tego typu "taktyka" działa na większość ai w grze - włączając w to oryginalne kampanie. McBenn na pewno coś wymyśli - pomysłowość graczy nigdy nie będzie miała granic.

I think I finally found a viable solution to the vehicle-stuck problems of Ar14a and Ar15a.

Fixed crate problems in Ar13a.

Fixing the problem with deliberately blocking the AI with crates/oil barrels is possible but will take an enormous effort and make the AI code a lot more complex. It's just not worth it in my opinion. It's like giving an extra 20 euros for a burger just to get an extra slice of cheese. If you really wanna break the game you can do it.
