I noticed that there were 18 Ground Bitmaps (In BMP Format) in the "\^GroundBmp\Multiplayer\" folder on one of the CD's Altar sent me in 2005. Original War only has 16 multiplayer maps. So i went looking for them.

multi_hobbit.bmp and Vulcano_sector.bmp being a new ones. Hobit seems to be the username of a developer as a map under a folder called multi1 can be found under Hobit's directory (Which is a match for the ground bitmap).

I am not sure if they are Skirmish maps or were designed for multiple players. At least i can not find any multiplayer related sail code. But it could have simply been that they never reached the stage of adding it.

EDIT: While writing this i have noticed there is at least 1 more map, War For Territory which has a Ground Bitmap.



I also have the related Water Images. I plan on releasing them at some stage. Not sure about releasing the lot as is (As a mod and compressed with RAR's best compression ratio its 150MB) or just the maps that may be useful to people (Most won't be. Alot are just multiple versions of the same maps).

Most of the maps now open with a change to the Editor to allow Vehicles to be on hex's that have environment on them (Trees/Rocks) as it was causing the Editor to crash when the maps were loaded (Since the unit loading would be screwed up as it would stop half-way loading one unit and then start from the mid point trying to load the next).

Killemall looks pretty new tho, for me, mayby for the rest of us too. Very nice maps anyway, could be useful in many mods.
